Handcrafted in Thessaloniki, Greece, from solid brass, the Chefs Mate feels reassuringly substantial in the hand despite its compact proportions. The uncoated brass will naturally develop a rich patina with handling and use, giving each mill its own character over time.
Inside is Alexander's signature cast grinding mechanism, engineered specifically for peppercorns and dried spices. Its three-stage design progressively cracks and grinds the spices for a consistent result while helping release their natural flavour and aroma.
A practical side opening makes refilling simple, allowing peppercorns or spices to be added without pulling the grinder apart. Its smaller size makes the Chefs Mate particularly handy for keeping close to the cooktop and reaching for throughout everyday cooking.
